I have been a client of Andover Counseling since 2003 when I first sought school testing and advocacy services for my then 2nd grader. Since then, Janice Goldstein, Ph.d., has provided ongoing and invaluable guidance, advice and support for both of my now high school age children. Both children have very complex profiles and complicated needs. We see numerous specialists. Every specialist I have shared their psychological/ neuropsychological/ academic reports with has taken the time to tell me how thoughtful and thorough the testing and the reports are. This includes top specialists at Floating Hospital’s Center for children with special needs, Children’s Hospital psychiatry, Massachusetts General Bressler Center for autism spectrum disorder. Every new educator we meet has also been grateful to have such a detailed analysis to help in their work.
Dr. Goldstein takes the time to truly understand the child and their strengths and struggles. As an advocate, she is professional, focused and on-point – always ready to translate educational terminology to understandable terms and help the parent prioritize the child’s needs.

The neuropsyche evaluation that was done at Andover Counseling was a major reason that my son was able to obtain the services that he needed. Even his psychiatrist commented that it was the “best, most comprehensive evaluation” she had ever seen.
